THIS SUNDAY (May 11th) : Hanna | What a better hero(ine) on Mother’s Day than Hannah. She was provoked by her rivals because she could not have children, and yet in her bitterness wept much and prayed to God reminding God of her servanthood and pledging her unconceived son to God. And because of her faith and plea, she became the bearer of the prophet Samuel.

you support the general mission of Christ Church. Outreach
ministries supported this year are as follows. Envelopes are

LARA
(Lafayette Area Resource Academy)
The
Lafayette Adult Resource Academy plays a very important
role in our community. LARA provides a welcoming environment
where learners can earn their Hight School Diploma or a
GED. Also, English as a Second Language is taught at Beginning,
Intermediate and Advanced levels. During class time a day
care is provided for learners children. Most of LARA's funding
designates where it can be used, so additional funds are
needed to make these programs possible. Please consider

An
outreach in the Appalachian mountains of Kentucky serving
6000 of the 8000 people over a four county area. Unemployment
is still around 50%. We will be going on a workcamp to Henderson
October 21-27th. If you cannot go, please help with our
expenses of $1000 for the project. Any money given above
this amount will go to help support the work at Henderson.
Honduras
House is a mission trip that builds homes for poor families
in San Juan Pueblo, Honduras. But more important than the
houses is showing the Love and Joy of Jesus to the people
in this part of Honduras. Join us in spreading his word
to the Nations.

Ishe Anesu Project
is located within the Hilltop United Methodist Church premises
