THIS SUNDAY (May 11th) : Hanna
What a better hero(ine) on Mother’s Day than Hannah. She was provoked by her rivals because she could not have children, and yet in her bitterness wept much and prayed to God reminding God of her servanthood and pledging her unconceived son to God. And because of her faith and plea, she became the bearer of the prophet Samuel.
