PROMOTION SUNDAY
Promotion Sunday is May 18th!
All children will be promoted to the next grade/level:
Sunday School Classes
Infant Nursery (0-2 yrs.)
Toddler Sunday School (2-3 yrs.) Room 23
Preschool (3-4 yrs.) Room 21
Pre-K (4-5 yrs.) Room 22
Kindergarten-1st Grade—room 25
2nd-3rd Grade—Room 26
4th –5th Grade—Room 20
Enrichment (3yrs.—Pre-K)
Junior Church (Kindergarten—2nd Grade)
LIFE GROUPS
Life Groups consist of 7 to 12 persons who meet regularly for fellowship, sharing, scripture reading, accountability and support. The goal is to find a place for people to become connected to one another and the church and to receive encouragement in their spiritual journey. We are always accepting new people into Life Groups. SERVICE
OPPORTUNITIES
UMCOR
UMCOR has created a special fund for relief to the victims of the cyclone in Myanmar. Thousands have died, thousands are missing and a million people are home-less due to this terrible tragedy. If you would like to make a dona-tion, please mark your check as cyclone relief and put in the offer-ing plate.
HELP FOR THE FOOD PANTRY
May is once again Food Pantry Month for Christ Church. In a report of 2007 activity, Church Women United, which sponsors the pantry (and also one at Hanna Center), indicated that 13,885 persons were served through the 2 pantries. It takes a lot of groceries to serve that many so please bring your non-perishable items (canned fruit and vegetables as well as cereal are especially needed) to the table in the entry.
